Cooperative Parenting Through Separation and Divorce – Questions and Answers:

This offering with Bailey is a workshop.  This is not group therapy.  This is not a support group.  This is not group counseling.  This structured program, Cooperative Parenting through divorce, is a structured program facilitated by Bailey Lanier, a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Support groups provide a sense of community.  Group counseling is designed to facilitate personal growth, behavioral change, and psychological healing under professional guidance.  A workshop is different.  It provides knowledge and ways to implement that knowledge between the biological parents of children going through divorce.

This Cooperative Parenting program spans from Friday through Sunday and includes a total of 18 hours.

Fri – June 14, 2024, 5-8:30 PM

Benefits of Cooperative Parenting

Cooperative parenting during and after separation or divorce is essential for children’s and parents’ well-being and stability. This approach minimizes the emotional stress that children may face and helps in their overall development. Key benefits include:

  • Improved Emotional Well-being: Children thrive in a stable, loving environment. Effective co-parenting fosters a sense of security and normalcy, helping children adjust more quickly to life changes.
  • Better Social and Academic Outcomes: Research shows that children with cooperative parents perform better socially and academically. They develop healthier relationships and are less likely to encounter behavioral problems.
  • Reduced Parental Stress: When parents collaborate, they share the responsibilities and challenges of parenting, leading to decreased stress and a more balanced life.
  • Consistent Parenting: Consistency across households in rules, discipline, and routines provides a structured, predictable atmosphere for children, which is critical for their development.
