Sherman is a Licensed Resident in Counseling. He has a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.
In his practicum and internship, Sherman worked in a community counseling center with a variety of clients ranging in age from early teens to early seventies. He has experience in areas such as: anxiety and depression, grief and loss, complex trauma, behavioral addiction, sexual identity issues, and marital and pre-marital counseling.
Sherman has a passion for helping clients find personal wholeness through integration of the self and experience. He believes in a client centered approach and strives to help clients achieve their goals while working within their framework and values. While Sherman welcomes all types of clients, he has a particular interest in working with men’s issues and those struggling with gender and sexual identity.
Sherman met his wife in 2010 and they married in 2015. They have two children and will soon welcome a third to their family. in his free time Sherman enjoys spending time with family and friends, woodworking, spending time in nature, reading, and fishing.
