Josh Varney is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. He has been working with families for many years. He began by working in a center for children with Autism.  He then worked with children and adolescents with a variety of mental health and behavioral symptoms in both home and school settings. Josh has now narrowed his practice to working only with adults. He has worked with a range of symptoms and diagnoses including ADHD, OCD, Anxiety, Childhood Trauma, Autism and a range of other issues.

Josh believes and has observed that counseling requires a high level of rapport and trust in order to make progress towards desired goals and uses a variety of counseling approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  He is also a Certified EMDR Therapist (EMDRIA). Josh believes that each person has a unique role to play and that that role affects not only their own life but the lives of those around them. Therefore, he has a passion for empowering and encouraging his clients to live their best life now.  Josh is married to his college sweetheart and has 3 children. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, and getting outdoors.
