Tanya McIntyre

Tanya McIntyre is a PsyD Clinical Psychology Intern in the state of Virginia and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Florida and Virginia. She obtained her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and is currently obtaining her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with the goal of becoming a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She enjoys helping individuals navigate a wide variety of areas including anxiety, depression, grief, mood disorders, addiction, domestic violence, PTSD & trauma. Tanya is a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist and enjoys working with autism and special needs populations. She is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and additionally trained in EMDR. Tanya utilizes a collaborative and integrative approach to treatment, enjoys meeting individuals where there are in their healing journeys and loves being a source of encouragement and support for her clients.

Tanya has worked with all age groups and has had the privilege of working in a diverse range of clinical settings that has broadened her clinical expertise. She has a long-standing passion for the mental health profession, serving in her community, and dedicated to enhancing positive therapeutic outcomes and mental health advocacy. Tanya has a fervent love for education and learning. Her research interests include gender differences in autism spectrum disorders with a focus on female phenotypical differences. Additional research interests include suicidal ideation and trauma.

In her spare time Tanya loves running, martial arts, music, theatre, dance, and poetry. As a Florida native, she misses the beach life atmosphere but has been enjoying the beautiful natural landscapes of Virginia.
