ABOUT MANDY JENSEN
Mandy is a licensed professional counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia and a National Certified Counselor. She has completed her Bachelors degree in Psychology, along with her Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University. She has had the honor with working with a variety of populations including children, adolescents, and adults for over the past six years.
Mandy has experience working with different mental and behavioral needs such as trauma, depression, anxiety, divorce, aggression and others. Mandy utilizes a variety of clinical approaches in her practice. Each individual is unique and will collaborate in identifying the best treatment approach to fit the need and treatment goals in their journey. Approaches used include cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), behavioral modification, art therapy and play therapy techniques.
Mandy has had the privilege in working with different levels of care through out the past five years including crisis counseling, life skills coaching, community based services, individual counseling and more. It is her passion to meet the client where they are and walk beside them in their journey towards healing.
