Jenna Evans

Jenna is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia who received her Master’s of Professional Counseling Degree from Liberty University. During her Master’s program, she also went through a specialization track for Crisis Intervention. Jenna has worked primarily with Children and Adolescents in a variety of settings, including Outpatient therapy, School-Based, Residential, and Emergency/Crisis Services. She has spent the majority of her career working with individuals in crisis by providing assessments to determine the appropriate level of care and placement at acute inpatient hospitals. Prior to Emergency Services, Jenna worked with children and adolescents who had experienced a variety of traumatic experiences. Jenna has worked with a wide range of mental health symptoms in both children and adults. Jenna’s passion is working with children who have experienced any level of trauma. She believes that trauma isn’t always about what has happened, but often one’s perception of difficult life experiences. Outside of working with children, she also has a heart for working with adults who have experienced trauma or situations that have impacted their quality of life.

Jenna believes that the most important aspect of counseling is the therapeutic relationship formed out of compassion, kindness, and respect. She knows therapy can be hard, but with perseverance and guidance, there are no limits to one’s ability to overcome the hard things in life. She feels that counseling looks different for every person and that sessions are tailored based on needs and personality.

Jenna is known as momma to a precious little boy and feisty little girl. Family is priority. Raising her kids to be kind, independent and strong is her mission. When she isn’t working, you can find her at the barn riding her horses. Jenna finds healing in laughing and smiling. She is a lover of life, all the things outside, the beach, sushi and humor.
