Abby graduated from Liberty University’s Master of Arts in Professional Counseling program in 2014 and became licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the commonwealth of Virginia in 2017. She has over 7 years of experience in the counseling field and has worked with clients concerning a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief, pre-marital counseling, marital and relational conflict, family issues, and spiritual issues. Abby utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy and primarily uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy in her work. She has also completed the Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and uses Gottman Method Couples Therapy in her work with couples. Additionally, she is certified to administer the PREPARE and ENRICH inventories which provide premarital and marital assessments.
While Abby approaches life from the background of a Christian faith, she is able to work with clients from a variety of spiritual backgrounds and incorporate matters of faith into counseling when requested by the client.
Abby has been married to her husband for 6 years and they have one son. She loves spending time with family, being outdoors, spending time with friends, and reading.
