Faye has assisted many individuals and couples, over 25 years, to gain insight into their life perceptions, their reactions and their decision making. Her focus is to empower clients to improve their lives through conceptual and behavioral change that is reflected in their day to day living and in relationships.
She has assisted couples and individuals, ages 12-80, in working through a wide range of life experiences. Situations include separation/divorce, grief and loss, abuse, empty nest, aging parents, personal aging, work/career related concerns, life transitions, changes in health status and poor decision-making events. Faye also counsels with clients who have a mental health diagnosis such as Depression, Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficient Disorder in Adults, Adjustment Disorders, Grief and Loss and Bipolar Disorder.
Faye also has experience working with individuals of Middle Eastern cultures assisting with family of origin issues and relocation adjustments.
Faye is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is a Counselor Supervisor in the Commonwealth of Virginia working with candidates toward obtaining an LPC License. Faye has a strong background in Mental Health Assessment and Diagnosis offering recommendation for resources/treatment. She holds a Masters’ Degree in Community Counseling, and a Bachelors’ in Sociology. She has a Licensed Professional Counselor designation in Virginia and North Carolina.
Faye has a dedication to assisting her clients in improving the quality of their lives. Her education, training and life experiences enables her to offer a counseling environment that is focused on acceptance and tailored to individual needs. Faye’s primary therapy model is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which offers change while highlighting client strength and diversity.
Faye has two adult children and two teenage granddaughters which are a strong focus of her life. She enjoys family, traveling, art and reading.
