Bobbie-jo Hurt holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), as well as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC). She has been working in the mental health field for 7+ years and specializes in addictions. Her experience includes adult outpatient individual/couples counseling, group therapy (substance abuse/dependence, IOP, VASAP, DBT, Seeking Safety), crisis care, case management, and working with people with Intellectual Disabilities, both in an in-home setting and also managing summer camps for this population.
Bobbie-jo enjoys working with individuals, and groups, and has a heart for helping people empower themselves and live the life they truly desire. Bobbie-jo uses a cognitive-behavioral approach, as well as Solution-Focused Therapy, and will also utilize other therapeutic techniques as needed for each individual client.
Bobbie-jo has been married to her husband for seven years and has two children, both boys. Bobbie-jo is a people-person and loves getting together with family and friends; she loves to laugh and joke and thinks these are some of the most important elements in life: having a purpose, having someone to love, and having freedom to laugh and enjoy.
